CONNECT Groups at Lighthouse

Do you have a heart for people and connection? Do you love facilitating and creating space where people can connect, have fellowship and enjoy an activity together?
Leading a CONNECT Group is all about serving others by providing space where people can connect and get to know one another.  CONNECT Groups are seasonal and are designed to help church members engage in fellowship through a specific activity, program, or course—whether it’s playing sports together, running an Alpha course, or leading a Bible study.

We want to LOVE well, LEAD well, and foster healthy, life-giving groups. That’s why we want to be intentional and responsible in our approach to leading a CONNECT Group.
The ‘Leading a CONNECT Group’ TRAINING is designed to help you align with our vision and equip you with all the essentials and practical details you’ll need to lead your group effectively.
We believe that bringing people together creates opportunities for them to take their next step at their own pace—wherever they are in their journey with God and with others.

Requirements for potential CONNECT leaders:

  • Knows and aligns with the Church VALUES

  • Serves in a Lighthouse TEAM

  • Has been part of Lighthouse as their home church for at least 1 year

  • Has completed FOUNDATIONS

  • Is willing to follow the TRAINING ‘Leading a CONNECT Group’

  • Is committed to attending the annual CONNECT leaders gathering

  • Models a life of following Jesus

  • Leading a CONNECT Group that fits you means choosing something you’re passionate about and picking a time and place to meet with others to share it.

What is the focus of a CONNECT?
In CONNECT Groups, the focus is on gathering, fellowship, and doing something (an activity) together.
Is Leading a CONNECT suitable for me?
If you go to "REGISTER YOUR CONNECT", you can see the requirements that are needed to Lead a Connect Group.
When are the CONNECT groups happening?
We have a Spring Semester that goes from February 15th until June 15th.
The dates from the Autumn Semester still have to be decided.
When can I register my CONNECT?
For the Spring Semester you can register your CONNECT from January 11th until February 2nd.

CONNECT Groups bij Lighthouse

Heb jij een hart voor mensen en verbinding? Vind je het leuk om mensen samen te brengen rond een activiteit, cursus of gedeelde interesse?
Als CONNECTgroepleider faciliteer je dat mensen elkaar ontmoeten en beter leren kennen. CONNECTgroepen zijn seizoensgebonden en helpen mensen om op een laagdrempelige manier samen te komen, bijvoorbeeld door samen te sporten, een Alpha-cursus te doen of een Bijbelstudie te leiden.

We willen CONNECTgroepen op een liefdevolle, gezonde en levensgevende manier leiden. Daarom gaan we hier bewust en zorgvuldig mee om.

De CONNECT Leader Training helpt je om onze visie te leren kennen en geeft je praktische tools om je groep goed te leiden.

Wat is de focus van een CONNECT?
In CONNECT-groepen ligt de focus op samenkomen, gemeenschap (fellowship) en samen iets doen (een activiteit). 
Is een CONNECT groep Leiden geschikt voor mij?
Als je naar “REGISTREER JE CONNECT” gaat, kun je de vereisten zien die nodig zijn om een Connect Group te leiden.
Wanneer vinden CONNECTgroepen plaats?
We hebben een Lente semester dat loopt van 15 januari tot 15 juni.
De data voor het Herfst semester moeten nog worden vastgesteld. 
Wanneer kan ik mijn CONNECT registreren?
Voor het Spring Semester kun je je CONNECT registreren van 11 Januari tot en met 2 Februari.
