Our story begins
Lighthouse Fellowship started in the garage of Frank and Hadassa's. Pastor Robert Baxter and Pastor Kyle Holland prayed with Frank and Hadassa and take the role of apostolic oversight. There is a group of people coming together every week - sharing lives, praying together and reading the bible. A dream come true!
First big milestone.
All nations together in Antwerp (ANTIA), joined our small group and Reijo Nevalainen becomes part of the team. We started monthly evangelistic evenings and called them 'Lighthouse Cafe'. The name Lighthouse Fellowship Antwerpen was later established.
Another chapter starts.
Before we know it, we had outgrown Frank and Hadassa's living room in Berchem! We switched venues to a small studio behind a garage at Frank and Hadassa's new place in Hoboken.
Growth and new beginnings.
Lighthouse Fellowship has grown to 60 members. It's official, we did it! We rented our first church location at Kronenburgstraat 94 at the heart of Antwerp.
Key moment in our journey.
After praying for months for a new church building! And in June 2016, we moved to Leeuwlantstraat 92 in Deurne. For the first time the church gathered with over 100 people! It is in this season Callum & Rianne join the church as they move to Belgium.
Another big step forward.
After three years of being in Leeuwlantstraat, the place has a 99 person fire restriction limit. So since we have outgrown that number it time to move again. But this time to the Jef Huygh Theater. Going portable is the new challenge! in the coming months we see a real growth and dynmaic. With both Frank & Callum full time for the church.
The Cafe returns!
Back in 2021 Ps Frank felt led by God to start a church Cafe, after months of praying and searching and prepartion. We find a suitable venue in Vlasmarkt 30, 2000. We launch April 18 2022. the Cafe becomes a second project in the church which begins with 2 full time members of staff. Which later becomes 3. For the first time in church history we have Callum and 3 cafe workers on Payroll!
Transition
God begins something which we see a a pioneering change. Frank & Hadassa feel called to pass on the running of the church into the hands of Callum & Rianne. THis happes with a transition service in June 4 2023. After this Frank & Hadassa take a step back with Frank taking a sabbatical and both step into a role of apostolic oversight but also to focus in other projects and a new season in the kingdom. This enables them to both focus on things previous not possible and make a difference in belgium and on a national and international level.
A new Church!
Callum feels led to plant a church. As we have a growing number of people attending from an increasing radius of the country. With a growing number coming from Zwijnderecht to Hulst. Sint-Niklaas feels the perfect place to Plant a second church. In September we began with monthly services on the 4th sunday to start a new congregation there with the hope to reach more people.
Seventh Location
We move into our seventh location as a church - Don Bosco Middelbaar School. Another step of faith as God continues to lead us forward.
First Church Plant Launch
Our first church plant goes live! We launch in Sint-Niklaas with a powerful first service and 40 people in attendance. A new chapter begins.
As of 2026 this is where we land. With plenty on the Horizon our main focus is to build in untiy with the churches around and to reach out and make a impact in the region.
